Next Monday (4 October 2021) our speaker is our own Club member Barrie Brown, and his presentation will be on some of his career highlights, with a special emphasis on the Next Foundation.  Barrie was a partner in PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) for 25 years, where he was head of  Business Advisory Services.  Barrie has worked with a diverse range of medium sized and large businesses, and he retired from the firm in 2001.  Barrie has held Directorships in both public and private companies and is currently a Non-Executive Director of the Waterman Capital Investment Committee (Chairing Fund 1, 2 and 4).  Barrie is also a past Chair of the NEXT Foundation, a $100 million Philanthropic Fund, set up by Neal and Annette Plowman, past Chair of the Rotoroa Island Trust and Project Janszoon.  Barrie is an independent Trustee of the WA Stevenson Memorial Trust and a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Australia and New Zealand.  Barrie has been a Rotarian since 1973, which means he is coming up to his 50 years of membership!
