The Rotary Club of Auckland invites you to listen to Sir John Kirwan (known to most as “JK”) who will be interviewed by our President, Brett O'Riley, on the theme of "mental health as it relates to business and leadership".

During the evening you will also have the opportunity to taste a selection of JK's own "JK14" wines, mingle with other like-minded business people, and learn about Rotary.

A little bit about JK -

Humbled and honoured – they’re two words JK often uses to describe how he feels about his contribution to a campaign to raise awareness about depression, an illness he has suffered from, but they’re also the same words he uses to describe his knighthood.

The former All Black and 1987 Rugby World Cup winner retired from rugby in 1994.  Since then, JK has played for the Warriors, was a player-coach in Japan, a Manager and Assistant Coach with the Blues and was the Italian national rugby team's coach.

These days you will find JK working in his ambassador roles for Westpac and ATEED (Auckland Tourism), whilst continuing with raising the profile and assisting with Mental Health initiatives, including his involvement with the www.depression.org.nz website.  JK is also a member of the Auckland Rescue Helicopter Trust Board, a Partner in Tourism Investment Partners, and Director and Founder of MenteMia.

We hope you can join us for what we hope will be a very special evening.
